Day 1: Arrival at Arusha
This is an Area mostly inhabited by the Maasais
This is their homeland
The current site of Arusha was first settled in the 1830s by the agro-pastoral Arusha Maasai from the Arusha Chini community, south of Mount Kilimanjaro.[2]:page 112 They traded grains, honey, beer, and tobacco with the pastoral Kisongo Maasai in exchange for livestock, milk, meat, and skins.[2]:page 112 Demand for Arusha's foodstuffs increased substantially during the 1860s when the Pangani Valley trade route was extended through Old Moshi, Arusha, and ultimately to western Kenya.
Day 2: Lake Manyara
Size: 330 sq km (127 sq miles), of which up to 200 sq km (77 sq miles) is lake when water levels are high.
Location: In northern Tanzania. The entrance gate lies 1.5 hours (126km/80 miles) west of Arusha along a newly surfaced road, close to the ethnically diverse market town of Mto wa Mbu.
Day 3,4 and 5: Serengeti
This park covers 14,750 square kilometres (5,700 sq miles)of grassland plains, savanna, riverine forest, and woodlands. The park lies in northwestern Tanzania, bordered to the north by the Kenyan border, where it is continuous with the Maasai Mara National Reserve. To the southeast of the park is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, to the southwest lies Maswa Game Reserve, to the west are the Ikorongo and Grumeti Game Reserves, and to the northeast and east lies the Loliondo Game Control Area. Together, these areas form the larger Serengeti ecosystem.
Day 6 and 7: Ngorongoro
The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera.[9] The crater, which formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago, is 610 metres (2,000 feet) deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 square miles).Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from 4,500 to 5,800 metres (14,800 to 19,000 feet) high.The elevation of the crater floor is 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level.
Day 8: Tarangire
About Tarangire National Park
Size: 2850 sq km (1,096 sq miles).
Location: 118 km (75 miles) southwest of Arusha.
Getting there
Easy drive from Arusha or Lake Manyara following a surfaced road to within 7km (four miles) of the main entrance gate; can continue on to Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti.

Day 9: Arusha - Departure
Early morning breakfast followed by a brief game drive then transfer to Arusha airport for your flight to Zanzibar or back Home.

9 DAYS
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania.
Clients’ arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Tanzania. Soon after clearing all the immigration procedures at the airport, transfer to the hotel in Arusha town, about 50Km in 45 minutes. Accommodation in a hotel in Arusha on Bead and breakfast basis. Mount Meru Hotel or The Arusha Hotel 4*
Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara Park.
In the morning after breakfast, leave Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park, with picnic lunch boxes, and arrive in the park after about 2.5 hours, and enter the park for the game drive.
Lake Manyara Park is well known for its climbing tree lions, and the birdlife in the lake Manyara. Stop for the picnic lunch inside the park at around noon, then continue the game drive till the end of the day. In the evening, accommodation at Manyara Kirurumu Tented Lodge/Lake Manyara serena lodge 4*.
Day 3: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park.
In the morning, breakfast at the lodge, and then drive direct to Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, game en route. In the mid day you stop for the picnic lunch on the way. You will arrive in Serengeti park in the late afternoon and have chance to view the wild animals in the park for the rest of the day. At the end of the day, dinner and overnight at Angata Serengeti Camp or Ikoma Lodge 4*.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park.
Full day safari in Serengeti Park, early morning game drive starts at around 6:30AM till mid day. All big five games can be viewed; lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and even the famous wildebeest migration depending on season.
In the afternoon, drive back to the lodge for hot lunch followed by the optional afternoon pose in the lodge. Set out for the late afternoon game drive in Serengeti Park till the end of the day. In the evening, dinner and overnight at Ikoma lodge or Angata Serengeti camp 4*.
Days 5: Serengeti National Park.
Full day for exploring the Serengeti, either with picnic lunch in the noon or early morning game drive, in the noon drive back to the lodge for hot lunch and then leave for late afternoon game drive. Accommodation at Angata Serengeti Camp or Ikoma lodge 4*.
Day 6: Serengeti Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti Park, then returns for the late breakfast in the lodge. After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional stops en route in the Masai Bomas or at Ngorongoro Olduvai Gorge. In the afternoon, picnic lunch en route in Ngorongoro area. In the evening, arrival in the lodge, dinner and overnight at Plantation lodge or Ngorongoro sopa lodge 4*.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater.
Early in the morning leave with packed breakfast and descend into the crater floor for the crater tour. Early morning is the best moment to view animals while they are active. You will have a chance to view all the big five land mammals and other mammals. Enjoy the late breakfast by the hippo pool inside the crater, and then continue the game drive in the Crater until afternoon.
Leave the crater floor in the afternoon for hot lunch in the lodge. After the lunch in the lodge, leave Ngorongoro for Tarangire. On arrival in Tarangire, check in at Plantation lodge / Ngorongoro sopa lodge 4*.
Day 8: Tarangire National Park.
After having your breakfast, game drive in Tarangire Park. Tarangire Park is well known for huge herds of elephants and baobab trees. The park derives its name from a river Tarangire which flows across this park. In the mid day, stop for picnic lunch in the park or drive back to the camp for hot lunch. After having the lunch, leave the park for Arusha town for overnight at Tarangire sopa Lodge / Tarangire serena lodge 4*
Day 9: Arusha – Kilimanjaro Airport.
Transfer from the hotel to Kilimanjaro International Airport, arrive at the airport on time as indicated on the flight tickets.
